Sled Strap Kit

Toboggan Sled Strap Kit, comes with one buckle strap and one loop strap, enough to make one lashing across a sled. Will fit across most toboggan bags and wood stoves on a standard 15" wide toboggan. Uses custom polished 1" BEW G-hook.

Backstory-

After years of frustration with the long straps I used to lace down gear on my sled, I decided it was time for a change. The first step was ditching the lacing system in favor of a simple crossover strap with a plastic side-release buckle. That worked—until the buckle started cracking in the cold. When gear fails on trail, I take it personal.

This problem led me to develop the BEW G-hook buckle in late 2022. After a couple more seasons and many miles of testing, I set out to create a turnkey system for anyone looking to upgrade their toboggan and eliminate the hassle. The result is the BEW Sled Strap Kit that keeps your gear locked tightly to the sled. Engineered for deep cold and designed for use with heavy mittens, this system gets you back on the trail faster and with greater confidence.

How to use-

Locate the running line or ring that you'd like to lash to on your toboggan. Feed the end section around and through the twisted loop at the base of the BEW Sled Strap. Do this for both the buckle and loop straps. Work the loop down to the base and now it's ready for use. This can be installed in the field or at a trailhead with ease, no tools required. We recommend six straps for a 9ft toboggan or a minimum of one strap every 2ft. Straps can be ran side to side or in an X-pattern. 

Multiple loops are sewn in to keep the BEW G-hook well centered on the sled and a small loop at the base to keep straps tidy when there's no gear on the sled for transport.
